Marking George Town - Sculptureatwork


Marking George Town is an idea competition in marking Penang’s George Town as a UNESCO world heritage site, initiated by Penang’s World Heritage Office. 138 entries were received from architects, sculptors, artists and heritage preservers local and abroad.

SCULPTUREATWORK won the competition with its unique concept entitled ‘Voices Of The people’ when the result was announced by Penang Chief Minister YB Lim Guan Eng on 31st March 2010 at Penang’s World Heritage Office.

SCULPTUREATWORK’s idea in marking George Town spreads into 4 categories - Wall sculptures, Floor Plaques, Phone Booths and Stops and Explore.
